‍WHOLE FAMILY WELLBEING PROJECT - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RZSS

May/June - We spent time at Kingussie High School with the pupils learning about queerness in the animal and plant world, as well as the human world. They made a brilliant 3 board mural celebrating diversity in nature.

August - Next up will be a Rainbow Families event at the Highland Wildlife Park on 1st August. Watch this space for details and tickets!

QUEER IN NATURE - THINK HEALTH THINK NATURE FUNDING

June - We have received funding to lead six new green health sessions supporting the LGBTQ+ and ally community in the Park until March 2027. The first will be taking place on Sunday 12 July. Spaces are limited to 15. Details and link to tickets will appear here soon!

QUEER IN NATURE - HANG OUTS

May/June - We have helped start a new informal Queer in Nature group in the Park, for those looking for slower activities (rather than sports), involving nature immersion, wellbeing, creativity, queer ecology, and above all, friendship. ECO-LIBRARY - THINK HEALTH THINK NATURE FUNDING - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CABERFEIDH HORIZONS

May/June/July onwards - We have received a fantastic donation of magazines and nature-related books from local resident Dr Robbie Nicol. We will be working on getting our new lending library up and running over the Summer and Autumn, along with our new spaces in the Bookshop in Kingussie.

Our competition was open to all ages and residents across the Cairngorms National Park and areas surrounding the Park boundary.

The theme was QUEERNESS AND NATURE

1st PRIZE: £200 art supplies voucher; RZSS memberships (up to the value of £180); a special feature in Somewhere: For Us LGBTQ+ magazine (Spring 2026 issue)
